Chassis No. ZFFBV55A930131975 After six years on the market, Ferrari continued the trend of refining its rangeâas shown by the agile 360 Modena and updated 456Mâby updating its flagship 550 Maranello. Unveiled in 2002, the new 575M Maranello received subtle but purposeful exterior modifications including a reshaped front spoiler, smaller front air intake, relocated fog lamps, and new, lighter five-spoke alloy wheels. The 65-degree V12 engine now featured an enlarged bore (89.0 mm) and a longer stroke (77.0 mm), increasing the displacement from 5,474 cc to 5,748 cc. Combined with an improved compression ratio of 11.0:1 and refined valve timing, the engine now produced an impressive 508 horsepower at 7,250 rpm, with torque reaching 434 lb-ft at 5,250 rpm. The biggest story of the 575 Modificato was its incorporation of the F1-style gearbox with its electrohydraulic clutch and paddle shiftersâthe first application of this system in a roadgoing V12 Ferrari. It offered two distinct operating modes: Sport and Normal (plus an additional Low Grip setting). Both of these modes also had an effect on the adaptive damping system, which itself offered Sport and Comfort settings. In Sport, the suspension delivered a firmer ride and faster damper response time of 80 milliseconds, and a softer, bump-free ride in Comfort. This left-hand drive, North American-market 575M Maranello was finished in elegant Nero (black) paintwork over Nero full leather with optional Rosso contrast piping. Notable options listed on its window sticker include prominent Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, 19-inch modular wheels, and the desirable Fiorano Handling Package. The latter bestowed the berlinetta with stiffened suspension, a larger anti-roll bar, and red-finished brake calipers, as well as retuned damping and speed-sensitive steering systems. The 575M was sold new through Ferrari Maserati of Dallas, and has remained in the Lone Star State throughout its life, residing with a single owner until 2024. The accompanying clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report shows that the Ferrari was initially registered in August 2003. Offered today with fewer than 8,000 original miles in spectacular, unmodified condition, this highly optioned 575M Maranello is accompanied by its original window sticker, purchase documentation, ownerâs manuals in the factory leather folio, tool kit, tire inflator, and both sets of keys, in addition to its factory car cover, seat covers and steering wheel cover. Most recently, in 2024 the 575M received a major belt service performed at DriverSource in Houston, Texas, which included replacement of the timing belt and water pump. A new set of four Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires was installed, along with a new battery and a TPMS sensor. An additional diagnostic service was performed in fall 2024 at Ferrari of Houston, ensuring that this well pampered example is ready for the open road. The Ferrari 575M Maranello is a true tour-de-force that offered significant refinements over its predecessor for a much-improved driving experience; it is a modern Ferrari classic, built to a tried-and-true front-engine V12 recipe. Here is a âholy grailâ example that ticks all the boxes â it is the ultimate collector-grade 575M.
