The Ferrari 328 GT was the successor to the Ferrari 308 GTB. The car remained mechanically in line with the 308 GT. A number of minor adjustments were made to the bodywork, engine and style of the car.

Ferrari produced 7,400 328 GTs before the model was replaced in 1989 by the new 348 in 1998. GTB refers to the bodywork of the coupe: Grand Turismo Berlinetta. Only 1344 of these were produced. Most GTs were delivered as GTS.

This model is considered the most reliable Ferrari, with enthusiasts preferring this model due to its easy engine maintenance.
